Skirt pattern is in the book Sew U. The book includes 3 patterns, one skirt, one shirt, one pants, all to teach the new sewer. It's a very worthy book, you should splurge. The skirt does have a zipper which I've never done before, but the book does this step by step tutorial and it worked! It really isn't that hard after trying it a couple of times. I of course will get more practice but this pattern was really handy as first try for zippers.
